My name is Blake Cory, and I’m a real estate coach with a passion for helping others achieve success in this dynamic industry. I’ve been fortunate to grow a real estate career that has surpassed over $1 billion in sales. But I want to share with you how I got here, because it wasn’t the traditional path most people take.
Let me start with who I am at the core—I’m a father to two amazing little girls and a husband to a wonderful wife who has been by my side through it all. My family is my biggest “why” and the driving force behind everything I do. I dropped out of high school at 17, never went to college, and for a long time, I thought that was going to be my story. But I was determined to carve out something different for myself.
At 19, I got my real estate license and dove into the world of sales. I worked hard, faced countless challenges, and failed a lot along the way. My career wasn’t a straight line to success—I experienced ups and downs, selling houses one year and losing everything the next. But those setbacks taught me resilience and fueled my determination to keep going.
Over the years, I built one of the top 10 real estate teams in California. Recently, my team was recognized on the Inc. 5000 list as one of the top 200 fastest-growing privately held companies. And to think, I started out as a Starbucks barista.
One of the key moments in my journey was realizing the value of mentorship. I had reached a point where I knew I needed guidance, so I joined a coaching program. That decision transformed my business. Learning from others who had been down this road before helped me fast-track my success. Now, as a coach myself, I get to pay it forward, helping real estate agents across the country—and even internationally—find their own path to success.
I believe in surrounding myself with people who are smarter and more experienced than I am. That’s how I’ve grown, and I encourage others to do the same. If there’s one piece of advice I would leave you with, it’s this: always seek out a mentor or coach. Success leaves clues, and the right guidance can change everything.
A Personal Note: Outside of work, I’m incredibly lucky to be surrounded by amazing people who inspire me every day. My family, friends, and colleagues have shaped my journey, and I’m grateful for every lesson learned along the way. I believe we all have the potential to grow and evolve, and I’m passionate about helping others unlock that potential.
